About Project

A new 54-bedroom hotel has been meticulously constructed across three floors, embodying a traditional masonry design that is both robust and aesthetically pleasing. The exterior features red facing brick, a choice that not only adds a classic touch but also ensures durability and weather resistance. The roof is elegantly finished with Brazilian slates, a premium material known for its long lifespan and attractive appearance, all supported by sturdy timber trusses that provide a solid structural framework.

The building’s foundation was laid using strip foundations, a reliable method ideal for supporting the weight of a multi-storey structure. Pre-cast concrete flooring units were utilised across all levels, offering a consistent and high-quality finish while also speeding up the construction process due to their pre-manufactured nature.

This project was not just about constructing the shell of the building but also included a comprehensive interior fit-out, adhering to the stringent Travelodge specification. This fit-out encompassed the installation of modern bathroom pods, which are pre-fabricated units designed to maximise space and efficiency, ensuring every room meets the high standards expected by guests. A passenger lift was also installed, providing convenient access to all floors, and enhancing the accessibility of the hotel.

The interior design was carefully considered, with attention given to every detail. Wall and floor coverings were selected to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, while all furniture and fittings were meticulously chosen to ensure they met the quality and durability expected in a high-traffic environment like a hotel.

Significantly, the building has been designed and constructed with energy efficiency in mind, achieving an ‘A’ rating. This reflects the use of modern construction techniques and materials aimed at reducing energy consumption, providing not only a comfortable environment for guests but also aligning with sustainability goals.
