About Project

A significant upgrade has been made to the existing yard with the installation of a state-of-the-art storage canopy, substantially increasing the storage capacity to 13,450 square feet. The newly constructed facility is supported by a galvanised steel portal frame, ensuring durability and structural integrity. Standing at an impressive height of 8.5 metres, the open canopy design allows for flexible storage options and ease of access.

The structure is finished with 40 KS1000RW Kingspan panels on the roof, gable side, and rear, providing superior insulation, weather resistance, and long-term durability. These high-performance panels are known for their energy efficiency and ability to maintain a consistent internal environment, which is particularly crucial for the storage of sensitive goods.

In anticipation of future needs, the canopy has been designed with provisions for an electrical supply, allowing for the easy integration of lighting, heating, or other electrical systems. Additionally, the design includes considerations for future expansion, ensuring that the facility can grow alongside the business.

The primary purpose of the canopy is to store Envirotainers, specialised temperature-controlled containers used by the aviation industry for the transport of food and pharmaceutical products. These containers are essential for maintaining the integrity of perishable and sensitive goods during transit, and the new canopy provides a secure, well-protected space for their storage. This enhancement to the yard not only increases storage capacity but also improves operational efficiency, ensuring that the company is well-equipped to meet the demands of the aviation sector.
